It’s not because it’s my city… not because it’s
the place I call home. I love it as a home but also love a lot of other places.
And since I want to experience so much more, all over the world, I still force
myself to look at Lisbon as a tourist every once in a while! Therefore, every
time I go abroad I still promote Lisbon as one of the best tourist destinations
I have been to. I am so proud of my LISBON!!
Now, forget that I was born here, forget that
this is the place I always come back to, and forget that this is the city where
I’ll most probably live on a permanent basis in the future.
Most of all, for now, think about Lisbon as an
holiday destination and we start from there! Over the next couple of days I’ll
be telling you about its most worth to visit places and most beautiful details.
I would like to be clear on something: there is
plenty to do! A lot of places to go to. And yes, you can spend as much time as
you like in Lisbon and still learn something new every day. I once met an
italian guy who was saying that “Lisbon is boring”. Then I asked him when he
was in the city, for how long and where he went. Well… I regretted asking! He basically
didn’t step outside the main “party” road for about 2 weeks.
But let me tell you something: when you visit
Lisbon you should be talking about ALL of it, including Sintra and Cascais for
example. There’s just sooo much!
And it’s a fact that this city has it all:
contrasts between old and new, history and science, modern and ancient. It has
beaches, castles, shopping centers, cathedrals, gastronomy, wine, party spots,
seaside villages, mountains, river, bridges, monuments, gardens, extreme and
water sports, music and tradition, cultural events all year round…
But let me tell you something: when you visit
Lisbon you should be talking about ALL of it, including Sintra and Cascais for
example. Anyway, there’s just sooo much!
And it’s a fact that this city has it all:
contrasts between old and new, history and science, modern and ancient. It has
beaches, castles and palaces, huge shopping centers, cathedrals, gastronomy,
wine, party spots, seaside villages, mountains, river, bridges, monuments,
gardens, extreme and water sports, music and tradition, cultural events all
year round, the best hostels and hotels in Europe… the SUN!!!
LISBOA – um destino único e completo!
Não é por ser a minha cidade...
não é por ser o sítio ao qual chamo casa. Eu amo Lisboa enquanto casa mas a
verdade é que também amo muitos outros lugares. E já que quero experimentar
tanto mais, por todo o mundo, de vez enquando continuo a tentar olhar para
Lisboa da prespectiva de um turista! Assim, sempre que viajo, continuo a
promover Lisboa como um dos melhores destinos turísticos onde alguma vez
estive. Tenho tanto orgulho em LISBOA!!
Agora, esqueçam que nasci aqui,
que esta é a cidade para a qual hei-de sempre voltar, e que provavelmente é
também a cidade onde vou viver no futuro, de uma forma mais permanente.
A cima de tudo, para já, pensem
em Lisboa enquanto um destino para férias e começamos daí! Durante os próximos
dias vou aqui expôr os seus lugares mais valiosos e os detalhes mais belos.
Gostava que uma coisa ficasse
clara: há imenso para fazer em Lisboa! Imensos sítios para visitar. E sim,
podes ficar em Lisboa durante o tempo que quiseres e mesmo assim hás-de sempre
ter algo novo para descobrir. Eu uma vez conheci um rapaz italiano que medisse
que “Lisboa é uma seca”. A seguir eu perguntei-lhe quando é que tinha estado na
cidade, durante quanto tempo, e onde tinha ido. Bem... até me arrependi de perguntar!
Ele não saira da Baixa durante quase 2 semanas.
Mas deixem que vos diga uma
coisa: quando se fala em visitar Lisboa, fala-se em visitar TODA a Lisboa,
incluindo Sintra e Cascais, por exemplo. De qualquer forma, há tanto para ver!!
E é um facto que esta cidade tem
de tudo: o contraste entre o velho e o novo, a história e a ciência, o moderno
e o antigo. Tem praias, castelos e palácios, centros comerciais enormes,
catedrais, gastronomia, vinhos, zonas de festa, aldeias piscatórias, montanhas,
rio, pontes, monumentos, jardins, desportos de aventura e náuticos, música e
tradição, eventos culturais durante todo o ano, os melhores hostels e hotéis da
Europa... o SOL!!!
